Getting There & Around
Getting There Is Only Half Your Transportation Plan
September 2026 · 3 minutes
You know how you're getting to the event. But how are you getting back?
Travelers can spend considerable time planning the journey to a venue while giving much less thought to what happens when the event finishes.
Departure conditions can be different. You may be leaving later in the evening. Large numbers of attendees may be departing around the same time. Transportation frequency, traffic conditions or pickup arrangements may also differ from when you arrived.
💡 VENTARIQ INSIGHT
Treat your return journey as a separate planning decision, rather than assuming that reversing your arrival route will automatically be the best option.
- What's my preferred return route?
- Will the transportation I intend to use still be operating when I leave?
- Where do I need to go after exiting the venue?
- What alternative do I have if my first option becomes impractical?
⏱ TIME SAVER
Save important information before leaving for the event — your accommodation address, transportation information and any important directions you'll want later. The objective isn't to prepare for every possible problem. It's to avoid having to start your transportation research from scratch at the end of a long event day.
