Three Things to Check Before Leaving for a Major Event
September 2026 · 3 minutes
You've planned the trip. You have your ticket. You're ready to leave.
Before heading to the venue, there are three categories of information worth checking.
1. Bag Policy
Find out what type and size of bag the venue currently permits. Don't assume that because something was permitted at another venue — or even at the same venue previously — the current event follows the same rules.
2. Prohibited Items
Check the event or venue's current prohibited-items information. Something perfectly ordinary to carry while traveling may not necessarily be permitted inside a particular venue.
3. Entry Information
Review the current official information relevant to entering the event. Depending on the event, this may include information about tickets, entrances, security procedures or other admission requirements.
⚠ AVOID THIS MISTAKE
Don't rely on an old article, an old social-media post, another visitor's experience, or what happened at a different event when the information can be checked directly. For venue rules and entry requirements, the current official event or venue source should be your final reference.
